What to Expect at the Conventions

With our constitutional amendment petition on hold, we will soon be working to pass a bill in the Michigan Legislature to allow for the implementation of Ranked Choice Voting in municipal elections. Currently, conflicting statutory language prevents local RCV implementation. To pass this bill and have it signed into law, we must elect pro-RCV majorities in the state legislature and a pro-RCV governor. Support from a pro-RCV secretary of state and attorney general will be quite helpful to this effort. Attend this online session to learn about how we will build our power and be influential in electing pro-RCV candidates, at first pass at the Michigan Democratic Party Convention on April 19. Learn how you can get involved, whether your a registered Dem or of a different political stripe - there is room for all to support this endeavor.
